Privacy Policy

When you use Meet Other You, you may answer questions about yourself, what you want to explore, what matters to you, and other information needed to personalize the Box you choose. The specific questions may vary by experience. You also provide information such as your name and email address, and some experiences may ask for preferences needed to create particular content, such as an audio preference.

Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. You do not need to include sensitive details, and we ask you not to submit information about other people.

Payments are processed by Stripe. To determine any applicable sales tax, Stripe collects a billing address on its own checkout page. Meet Other You does not collect or store your billing address in its own application systems. Stripe provides us with payment information such as the amount charged, tax amount, and payment status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We also receive Stripe identifiers associated with your purchase so we can match your payment to your order.

For Boxes that include real-world activities, we may ask for the general area where you will be — such as a city and state or region, or a neighbourhood or postal code where appropriate. We do not ask for your street address for this purpose, and Meet Other You does not continuously track your location or use GPS to follow you through the experience.

Where live place information is enabled for an experience, the general area you give may be sent together with a general destination or place category to Google’s Places service so we can identify relevant real-world public places. We do not send Google your name, email address, order ID, full questionnaire answers, private generated content, hard-boundary text, street or home address, or device GPS or current location for this lookup, and we do not continuously track your location. When you choose the Google Maps link for a destination, Google Maps may open, and your interaction with Google Maps is then governed by Google’s own service and privacy practices.

Your answers and preferences are used to personalize the specific Box you choose. Depending on the Box, personalized content may include text, audio, structured experiences, reflections, or other digital content described before purchase.

Your email address is used to send purchase-related messages, deliver secure access to purchased Boxes, help associate purchased Boxes with your Meet Other You collection, and respond to support or account-access requests.

We do not use your answers to build advertising profiles.

Our approach to your information

Meet Other You is built around the people we serve and the experiences we create for them.

We ask personal questions because your answers help us create an experience that reflects you. We recognize that some of those answers may be deeply personal, and we treat that trust seriously.

We are not interested in studying individual people's private lives. When we look for ways to make Meet Other You better, we're interested in the broader patterns that emerge across many people's experiences—the themes, interests, goals, questions, and needs that people commonly bring, and what kinds of experiences might serve them well.

We may use aggregated or appropriately de-identified insights from these patterns to improve our questions and personalization, develop better products and experiences, conduct internal research and analytics, and understand how we can better reach and serve people with similar needs.

If you purchase a Box, we may review the answers you gave when personalizing it, together with other purchasers' answers, to operate and improve our products and understand aggregate patterns. Before this analysis, we remove your name, email address, order number and other direct identifiers, and we try to remove identifying details you may have typed yourself. This reduces, but may not fully remove, the chance that an answer could be linked to you. We may use service providers, including AI-processing providers such as OpenAI, to carry out this analysis. We only report patterns shared by several purchasers, never individual answers.

Your individual questionnaire responses are not sold to advertisers, and advertisers are not given access to your private responses. We do not use intimate or vulnerable information you disclose to personally target you with advertising.

When insights from people's experiences inform our marketing, our goal is to understand broader needs and themes—not to advertise to someone because of something private they told us.

Information that can reasonably be connected to you continues to be treated as personal information and protected as described in this Privacy Policy.

Meet Other You uses third-party providers that are necessary to operate the product. Your information is shared with them only as needed to operate and provide the relevant service or experience:

• Payment processing — Stripe
• AI-assisted generation and personalization, where used — OpenAI
• Voice/audio generation, for experiences that include audio — ElevenLabs
• Hosting, database, and file storage — Lovable and Supabase
• Email delivery — Resend

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

Purchased Boxes and the personalized content associated with them are stored so you can access and return to your experiences. Depending on the Box, this may include generated text, audio, progress, reflections, and other content associated with that Box.

For experiences that include audio, audio files are stored privately and are not publicly listable or downloadable. They are served through temporary signed links that expire after a short period, generated only after your access is authorized.

Purchases may be associated with a customer record so that multiple purchased Boxes can appear together in your MY BOXES collection once secure access is established. Email matching may assist this association, but knowing an email address alone does not authorize access to a collection.

A purchased Box is delivered by email through a secure link that contains a unique access credential. That link is how you first open your Box and how you return to it, and using it may establish authorized access to your Meet Other You collection.

Anyone who obtains a valid private delivery link may be able to access the associated experience, so please treat it like a password and avoid forwarding it.

Access to your MY BOXES collection is authorized on our servers and may use a secure session after your access has been verified; your email address by itself is not sufficient authorization. We do not promise that any particular link will function indefinitely.

We use Google Analytics and Meta measurement tools to understand how the website is used and how people move through our experience — for example, how many people visit, begin or view or choose a Box, begin checkout, open or return to a Box, or make a purchase. These tools may receive general website and technical information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location, referral or campaign information, and non-sensitive funnel events.

Your questionnaire answers, generated personalized content, and private Box content are not sent to Meta for advertising measurement. Private Box and experience surfaces use only our own first-party, non-personal funnel measurement and are excluded from Google Analytics and Meta advertising measurement.

We may use Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, including events such as leads, checkout activity, and purchases. For advertising measurement events, we may share a securely hashed form of your email address, your IP address, browser information, and Meta advertising identifiers so leads and purchases can be matched to advertising. We do not send your questionnaire answers, generated private content, or billing address to Meta, and we do not use intimate or vulnerable information you disclose in your answers to personally target you with advertising.

We also record first-party funnel events, such as which step of a shopping or purchase flow was reached, using technical identifiers such as a device identifier and a securely hashed form of an IP address. We use this information to understand how the service is used and to help prevent abuse. We do not include questionnaire answers or generated private content in these funnel events. Separately, our hosting and infrastructure providers necessarily process a network IP address in order to serve and secure the site.

Google Analytics and Meta measurement tools may use first-party cookies and similar identifiers to count visits, measure the funnel, attribute advertising results, and help us understand whether our advertising is effective. During checkout, your browser's session storage temporarily holds your order reference so your progress is not lost if you refresh the page; it is cleared when you close the tab. We may also use secure session cookies or similar credentials to maintain authorized access to your Meet Other You collection after you have verified access. Our hosting and payment providers may process standard technical information such as IP address and browser details as part of serving and securing the site.

If you use the "Let Other You choose your gift" section on our homepage, your browser's local storage on your own device keeps a short list of the questions and gift ideas you were recently shown, so the next session is less likely to repeat them. This is not a cookie, is not linked to an account, and does not include your answers. Clearing your browser or site data removes this history, and it is not shared with other browsers or devices.

Meet Other You participates in the Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases made through links marked "(paid link)". Following one of these links takes you to Amazon, whose own privacy practices apply there. We do not send your gift-chooser answers to Amazon.

Purchase records, personalization answers, and personalized Box content may be retained so you can continue to access and return to purchased experiences, and so multiple purchased Boxes can remain associated with your collection. We do not set a fixed deletion date, and we also do not promise indefinite hosting or availability: information and personalized content are kept while retention remains reasonably necessary to provide your purchased experiences, unless you ask us to delete them or retention is no longer reasonably necessary or permitted.

If you used an earlier version of our service, we may retain the answers and email address you provided so you can continue to access your saved experience and use related recovery features. Any related marketing emails include an unsubscribe option.

You can ask us to delete your personal information and personalized content at any time by emailing hello@meetotheryou.com. Deleting personalized content may remove the affected Box or content from your access and collection, and secure links may stop providing access to it, so please save any content you wish to retain before requesting deletion where the experience permits it.

Limited transaction and operational records — such as payment references, amounts, and delivery timestamps — may be retained separately where reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations, or enforcing our agreements. Some payment records are also retained by our payment processor for its own accounting and legal purposes.

To access, correct, or delete your information, or to ask any privacy question, email hello@meetotheryou.com. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including private storage for personalized content, expiring signed links for stored assets where applicable, secure access credentials for delivery links, and server-authorized sessions for your Boxes and collection access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we do not claim to.

Meet Other You is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use the service, and it is not directed to children.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
